Audrey Golden is a New York-based cultural studies academic specialising in twentieth and twenty-first century global media, cinema, literature, and gender studies. She has been a regular contributor to Louder Than War since 2019 and is a presenter on the new Louder Than War Radio. As a media studies and film scholar, her work often brings together visual and sonic cultures and histories. She has delivered dozens of public lectures for America’s oldest independent cinema, the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts, on movies and music. In her capacity as a university lecturer, she has designed and taught courses to undergraduates on contemporary literature, cinema, and music, including seminars on feminist global fiction and political resistance through song. Audrey is currently a Visiting Scholar at Binghamton University (SUNY-Binghamton). She earned a B.A. in film studies from Wesleyan University, a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Ph.D. in modern and contemporary literature from the University of Virginia
