Tudor Galleries
Tudor Galleries was located in Deansgate and hailed as 'Manchester's Home of Music' and 'For Everything in Music'. It was also a Gramophone Centre in the early 1900s. Although there is little information to be found on the building, it was likely a musical hub with multiple associated businesses and a staging area, amongst other qualities. The Royal Manchester College of Music would perform recitals there, documented from the 1930s through to 50s. One of the firms at the Tudor Galleries was located at 69-71, this being Sir Herbert Marshall & Sons, Ltd., the pianoforte manufacturers and merchants. There is only evidence to suggest it was around in the early 90s, but it could have been located there longer.
