Eileen Royds was a student at the Northern School of Music from 1962-65, moving to London to study at the Trinity College of Music, which she'd won a place at. Although not much information can be found on Eileen's life, before or after her attendance at the Northern School of Music, we know that she was from Hyde, not necessarily born there, and that she was in her early twenties while studying. In 1961, Eileen played Mother Superior in the NSM's production of Sister Angelica (Puccini).
