Dianne Marie Stafford played various roles during her time at the Royal Manchester College of Music, where, as a soprano, she became one of eight finalists for the £600 Kathleen Ferrier Scholarship in London. According to Opera Scotland, Dianne sang alto in the Dundee Choral Union's performance of Bach's Mass in B minor, which took place in 1999, showing that Dianne had stayed active.
