Born William Stuart Adamson in the Old Trafford area of Manchester on 11/4/1958, Stuart Adamson moved to Scotland at a very early age. He formed punk band Skids in 1977. After leaving the band in1980 he went on to form Big Country. He died (suicide by hanging) on 16/12/2001 in America. A note, the band were called Skids not The Skids.
