Picture Chords

Picture Chords was originally just Pete Pojuner (Keyboards) and Andy White (Guitar). We joined the MMC late 1978 but never really seriously thought about playing live. We gave a really poorly recorded tape to Steve Solamar and he stunned us by asking us to record something for the MMC album and play live on the same night as Spherical Objects at the BOTW. We were later joined by Paul Cop (Vocals) and Andy Hanney (Drums). Later in 1979 Solamar asked us to record something for the Waiting Room album with Slight Seconds and The Mediators. We played very few live gigs but managed a few at the BOTW, The Factory and the Cypress Tavern as well as the Deeply Vale Festival. We sort of drifted apart by early 1980 playing our last gig at the Cypress Tavern in February 1980. No idea what happened to Paul and Andy Hanney but I still see Pete now and again and we’ve even recorded some stuff over the years but only for our own amusement. (Submitted 31.07.08 by Andrew White)
