Magic Village

Cromford Court, Manchester M1 Brian Walker writes: If my memory serves me well, the Manchester Cavern was in Cromford Court and later changed its name to the Jigsaw Club and held all-niters. It then became the Magic Village: a psychedelic happening, man. I do remember watching The Victor Brox Blues Train at 9am Sunday morning after I had left the Wheel all-niter at 8am. Victor and co walked out of the club in single file playing strange instruments followed by all and sundry (mods, hippies, beatniks, tramps, jazzers, etc) to walk through the city centre like the Pied Piper, then back to the club. Imagine that lot at 9.15am Sunday morning. (Perhaps I did.)
