The Beathovens

Sent in by Jeff Hyde: The Beathovens were a five piece R&B group formed in the mid sixties. The group made regular appearances at all the popular sporting clubs around Manchester. The Southern, Northern, Chorlton, Domino, Levenshume, etc. We were resident for a while at the Luxor Club in Hulme and the Paddock Club on Mosley Street. The Beathovens were also signed to regular dates for the Mecca circuit and were regulars at Ashton Palais, Sale Locarno, etc. Group members were: Kevin Carney (vocals) Jeff Hyde (drums) Mike Parkes (rhythm guitar) Roger Partington (lead guitar) and Kevin Churchhouse (bass guitar).
