White Dial

Active from 1983- 1985, White Dial was based in Altrincham and was the solo project of Chris Wright (Formerly of KK Dive and After Dark) who wrote all the 'synth pop' style songs and recorded all the instruments onto a Sony TC 377 reel to reel, for live work. Onstage, Chris sang and was occasionally joined by a (de rigeuer) dancer (Shazel) or an added synth player (Dave Powell from Beau Leisure). White Dial did a session for Radio Manchester and had favourable national press reviews but fizzled out when Chris's finances took a major downward turn.
