I’ll Show Harry were ostensibly a duo featuring mathematician Andy Chappel on vocals and bass and ‘Sticks’ on drums. They also occasionally featured Saul Hopper on guitar. Their sound was outside the usual early eighties Mcr Factory/Fall genre and struggled to attract an audience. However, over a decade later, those who had attended I’ll Show Harry gigs were often seen discussing the late nineties arrival of drum and bass and the records of Roni Size - The line of development between ISH and D&B is pretty vivid.
The name I’ll Show Harry was apparently a dig at the pervading Hulme scene as Harry was the highly prominent driving force behind Hulme Legends The Inca Babies.
