Turning Blue

Sent in by Keir Hardy: Turning Blue were a late 80s Oldham band. The line-up was: John Matthews (vocals), Carl Wolstenholme (ET) (bass), Sean Weatherby (Swez) (keyboards), John Sikora (drums). Can't quite remember the guitarist's name, although I can picture him...Possibly a Murray? The demo tape 'Rhinoceros' was recorded at The Mill by Clint Boon. John Matthews was later in The High and One Summer, ET was later in The Rainkings and One Summer. The "Dave Ross (LD)" who picks up a credit for percussion on one track on the demo is Lee Dransfield from The Jerks with a pseudonym derived from Davros, creator of The Daleks. Toward the end they played at least once at The Castle with one of Asia Fields (Twinny?) on vocals, John Matthews being absent or departed.
