Morris: The Hungry Socks line up included (but was not limited to): Swinny (Martin Swinburne) - vocals - currently "Periscope", previously of The Birdroom, Billy Big Bottom, Early Inspiral Carpets Drummer, Drummer in The Dead Heroes, The Wake, Head) Chris Goodwin - drums (also of T'Challa Grid, The Jerks T'Mill, Buzzcocks FOC and The High) Clint Boon on Organ (Inspiral Carpets, T'Mill) Mani - Bass (pre-Stone Roses) ("Mani", currently Primal Scream, prev. Stone Roses, Freebass, Atoll K) Andy Housley - Guitar (T'Challa Grid, The Cradle) The Hungry Sox / Socks were a mid - eighties, pre-Inspiral Carpets and classic Stone Roses, kind of reverse super-group who managed to be both unambitious and ambitious at the same time and comprised members of various Oldham / Manchester bands. Mainly a "for fun" band their set included songs such as Nelson's Eyeball and a version of the The Sonics' "Psycho".
