Involved in the Manchester music scene for 30 years, Kath has DJed at most venues in the city. She was a resident at Flesh at the Hacienda, Paradise Factory and Homoelectric and has guested at some of the finest parties in town. She became a DJ accidentally after helping out at a World Aids Day benefit and still keeps her hand in 30 years later. After working for 15 years at Vinyl Exchange record shop, she went on to license music for television and advertising. She has been at the BBC for 5 years on Radio 2, 3, 4 and for the last year on 6 Music. Her documentary 'Queer as Punk' was recently transmitted as part of 6Music’s Loud and Proud season. Kath regularly participates in panel events and was involved in the curation of the Queer Noise exhibition at the People’s History Museum.
