Born in Manchester, 1966, Richard Casey studied piano at the RNCM with Marjorie Clementi and Martin Roscoe. During his time at the college, he performed in one of many Lunchtime Recitals, partnering with Jessica Mogridge in 1991. Interestingly, Richard graduated in Russian at Cambridge before joining the RNCM. Throughout his varied career as a professional pianist, Richard not only won first prize in the British Contemporary Piano Competition, 1997, but has also performed with the London Sinfonietta, London Musici, Lontano, and more, over the years. Richard teaches in Manchester and still performs to this day.
