Alan Adler was drummer and co-lyricist of Manchester new wave band the Thunderboys who were active from 1978 to 1980 and featured Carmel McCourt on vocals. During that same period Adler designed and illustrated the single covers and LP sleeves for all Manchester bands signed to record label TJM.
Adler moved to London in 1980 where he became one of the UK’s leading visual artists and is represented in several public collections including the British Council and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
