MDMArchive spokesperson CP Lee has done a podcast on the history of Manchester music for photographer Aiden O'Rourke's website. In a fascinating interview, CP touches on the Halle orchestra, the ‘kazoo orchestras’ that used to play on the streets of Manchester, Bob Dylan at the Free Trade Hall, Herman’s Hermits (whom Americans thought were Liverpudlian) , and how Howard Trafford, later Howard Devoto of the Buzzcocks organised Manchester’s first Sex Pistols gig in 1976.
