We are excited to be included in Wild In Art's
50 Windows of Creativity exhibition which is now live across Manchester city centre. Featuring displays by artists, makers and collectives, the exhibition is accessible to everyone: the displays are in pavement-facing windows and accessible venues. MDMArchive's contribution can be seen in six large windows facing Oxford Rd and Booth St East at the Royal Northern College of Music, 24 hours a day.
In keeping with our belief in democratising heritage we asked five of our member-volunteers to curate a window each. This has resulted in a fascinating and wide-ranging choice of subjects with window displays covering brass bands at Belle Vue, the Buzzcocks' fan club, archiving and remixing for New Order, LGBT+ clubbing and 1930s all-female education at the Northern College of Music.
Please do take some time to make the journey to RNCM to see our displays. Amongst other works you can see a presentation by the Manchester Hip Hop Archive next to ours.

Thanks to Wild in Art for giving us the opportunity, and to our wonderful volunteers for accepting the challenge.
The exhibition runs until 4 December.
