Abigail Ward of Manchester District Music Archive will be speaking at the first ever National LGBT History Festival, which is taking place across Manchester this weekend.

Using her online exhibition Queer Noise as a starting point, Abigail will be discussing Manchester punk and sexuality; the rise of house music and the Haçienda; and the underground LGBTQ clubbing scenes of the late 90s.

Other speakers at the festival include Peter Tatchell, Stuart Milk and Sonja Tiernan.
