My dad OWEN YOUNG played in Jack Kirkland's band the saxophone and the clarinet all over Manchester and Stockport for many years, he isn't on this photo as not sure when he joined them. He used to also pay for Raymond Woodhead and his orchestra too. He was born in Hyde and we lived in Chorlton and then Northenden. He was born 1927-1994. He was a self taught musician and remember him practising playing Moon light serenade and strangers on the shore. I sadly didn't ever go and see him play but any information you have would be appreciated. I also have a photo of Jack Kirkland and his wife in 1977 at my parents silver wedding somewhere.
Would love to connect with any band members that may remember him who may still be alive!
