There was all this manky food put out buffet style.After chucking loads of buttys and rice at the band the guitarist chassed me around the venue with his guitar still round his neck! Great days.”

The night has a good balanced crowd of young and old that want to hear old and new classics, its not a retro night as such its lots of things rolled into one, everybody’s welcome no clique! The room is dark with a 60's feel, oil wheel inc, holds around 150 big dance floor area Great 6k sound system nice bottom end as much as you need for a room that size, good draft beers at pub prices no rip off! with a late bar, most nights have gone on till 3ish there’s a projector showing old ska/reggae films with an interesting wall display of old ska memorabilia! This is all set in the 150 year old Star and Garter, that looks as mad as castle gray skull! Night runs 10pm until 2am. Admission £4.00 (£3.00 before 11pm).
