“I attended this gig - support band was Medium Medium - I went out the following day to buy the Pylon album and Medium Medium's Hungry, So Angry as I was reasonably impressed. The crowd was small. When I reflect, we were so spoilt - there were so many venues and prices where good, long before arena gigs and online booking. I was never home!!”

“What a gig! 3 weeks before I left school! Life was never the same. Pete Shelley halting mid set after being dowsed with a pint of ale, Slaughter were brilliant remember talking to Mike Rossi after their set. Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers on a midnight... rock n roll- Also everyone seems to omit the Spitfire Boys who were first on.. Budgie and Paul Rutherford who both went on to bigger things. The Heartbreakers had played Warrington previously along with the early Police line up (sans Andy Summer) and Cherry Vanilla (who had the Police as her backing band I think) -this took place at the Lion Hotel Bridge Street Warrington - where Bob Hayes was the resident rock DJ! Happy days”
