“Jamie's comment/update was emailed to me earlier - sorry to hear about your grandad.
Just for reference, Richard Lysons in his book on the Free Trade Hall lists this show in 1966.

“Went to this, it was a couple of days before my 40th birthday - special guests were Keith Rylatt and Phil Scott who were just about to publish 'Central 1179', the definitive book on the club and Dave Godin, who allegedly christened the Northern Soul scene at the Wheel back in the day, of course.
This was the first all-nighter of Pete Roberts' revived Wheel set-up back then and it was great to have the whole club available to wander round!
Oh yes, and it was indeed to commemorate the original closure of the club on 30th Jan 1971, not just my 40th birthday...”
“Hi, SueC - two Stuarts have commented here, one played bass with the Renegades and Rhythmaires and the other one is me! "Owned by the girls of BCGS" is tattooed on my heart...”
“I let this one go to Vinyl Exchange in the late 80s, when I had a clearout! Think I kept the Live at the Factory one, though, as I was actually at that gig.”
“Much maligned in the history of Manchester punk/new wave, but history is written by the victorious as the saying goes...
This single (A and B) still stands nose to nose with anything that came out in 1977 for sheer energy!”
