“Uncle Ralph's a good friend now and I produced one of his records. While still a teenager, me and my friend Paul Abbott went backstage to get the autograph and Paul asked him, "So how do you write a song then?"
I thought we'd be thrown out immediately but Ralph sat us both down, gave us each a bottle of beer and explained the process to Paul for about half an hour. What a gent!”
“I was at this one. I met Andy Powell at a festival a few years ago, and told him I liked the Argos album. "It's called Argus, Argos is a shop!" :D He's a very nice chap.”
“Yep, I was at this one too. I always used to get autographs whenever I went to a gig to prove to me dad that I'd been to a gig with me spends and not to the pub. Rory was always very nice to us teen fans (I was 16 at this one) and he even used to sneak us a bottle of beer :)”
