The Fall's first Peel session had only gone out the night before so it was all very exciting! The venue was my local town hall which had only ever previously been occupied by a horrendous 'disco' at night so this was a first and the last time I ever went! I think one of if not the first gig with Marc Riley?”

“Went to both of these gigs. I'd just left Lavolta Lakota before this gig which worked for them cos they got a much better drummer in! The Cocteaus were great. Yes the sound was really echoey but suited them! Liz twiddled her thumbs alot!”
