There was a notice on the doors saying the gig was cancelled but we didn't know the band had turned up. If we knew we would've stayed for the party Arnie described . As it was we drove to Lancaster University and wandered into the end of The Boomtown Rats set . To round off a disappointing evening our driver contrived to drive over a roundabout on the way home and write the car off . Happy days !”
