“I was at the UK Subs gig...as we were going in a big gang of MCFC "Cool Cats" turned up and chased us all kicking the bejeesus out of anyone they could get their hands on. I had a dressing gown on for that gig and Charlie Harper invited us to the aftershow as he thought it was boss...the next week everyone was wearing dressing gowns... But mine was still the best! All these Manchester punk gigs were mad cos you could get in the under 18s and then in the evening still get in the over 18s despite only being 14 at the time.!”

Hi Ian I used to travel from Oldham to buy bootlegs off you in Bury ....Notably the Pistols Belsen single. Well worth the bus journey. Also I was at the gig with the Damned when afterwards instead of going on the last few dates of the tour with the damned following DV and RS offering us to come, me and my mate decided to go and smash up UMIST with you and the boys. How many windows must have died that night! You were a great band.”
