“Heh! I can only just remember that it was in the evening we recorded it. My mate Spooner remembers more.
999....nope all gone sold around 700 or so at gigs, we had quite a few left when we split up, a great many met horrible ends. Some made into ashtrays of all things that we sold for 1p ... we needed the 1p to glue over the hole in the middle..haha! .
I borrowed some pics off Mick the guitarist a few weeks ago as I'm putting together a little keepsake CDR of the E.P. and the 3 song demo we did later on early '81, and in the folder was the letter. It was typed up by his mum and mentions the date we received the E.P.'s The letter was a copy of one sent to Bullet Records in Stafford with the E.P. as they were going to start selling or distributing it, but the deal fell through, which may have been a godsend from what another local band Sam Thunder told me about them.
I'm stunned at the £160 though!!!
By the way like your web page...great read!”
“Hi,
I'm Nick I was the bass player on this. It was 4 songs - 3 songs were recorded at Graveyard studios in Whitefield they were 4 track recordings, the song I Aim to Bluff was recorded at Bootleg studios - an 8 track recording.
The band received it from the suppliers on the 15th of April 1980 ( I know the precise date as I have a letter detailing it). So the year of release is actually 1980 and not 1981 - hope this clears things up a little. Thanks to Malc for letting me know about this web page too :)”
