“My Dad and George Taylor(tenor sax) were great friends from their school days at Alex Park and Stockport School. I thought that was George on the far right of the photo, but apparently not. Mum & Dad sometimes used to go to dances where the Band played. I didn’t take much notice at the time but now, being into dancing & big band music, I’d love to be able to go back in time to those days!”
