During the day the downstairs disco was used for dining , they actually had the hot plates behind the dj booth , at night they were covered with a thin metal plate ( ie. shelf for records) .One Thursday night I was doubling up with the Pembroke Halls (Walkden)
arrived about 11 with two cases of vinyl (students night Rock n Reggae) some bright spark had left one of the hot plates on yes you guessed it ! 20 mins later half my tunes had melted !oh happy days:-)”

“Top left is Mike Wood (Swinging Sporran) next to him Ian Ravin (RIP 2010) The guy in the Saturday Night Fever suit is Darryl Jay (he put together the event & organised the M/c DJ Association) anyone know where he is now? last heard of late 70's touring Austrailia with Don Estelle or Was it George Mcrae?
