“Think it was this gig where, after Alex had broken out of his jail whilst performing 'framed' that two lads in front of me started fighting over a piece of polystyrene from the jail wall, and suddenly without warning Alex jumped down off the stage, grabbed both by the scruff of their necks and bellowed “there’s no f***ing fighting at ma gigs” before banging their heads together and climbing back on stage to complete the song……….happy days
“I seem to remember this tour was labelled "If it's too loud, you're too old", it was incredibly loud but from what I remember it wasn't that good a gig, too much emphasis on loudness not enough on music”
“That Sham 69 gig - was it the one where several turned up in 'clockwork orange' gear and 'kicked off' all I remember was waking up at the 192 bus stop in Picadilly with a rather large lump on my head and blood all over my mohair jumper”
“Jonny is still around, heard him on the radio last season whilst on way to watch County at Chester.
I played in the same DJ's football team with him, 'Rotters FC', several times.
Good lad for a 'red' even did a spot of commentating on County games for 'Signal'
Must say he did love a belt, he had some bloody awful ones, especially around the time that Gary Numan was wearing those stupid contraptions
Phil B”
