This is a programme for the Manchester Beecham Operatic Choir during October 1916. Both the British and Russian National Anthems are shown to have started off the Concert. During the war, patriotic music was played in order to increase morale and encouragement of the war. This contributed to the widening of repertoire played by the Hallé during WW1.
