THE FALL……………..continued………………
Forced underground………Most of us like to think we are. THE FALL surface , take T he system by the bollocks, allow US to emerge……But without compromising themselves………Without patronising us.Theyve established a plane where they cant even by martyred A feeling of HOPE,But not of complacency,Christ,You feel as though you’ve been in a battle just WATCHING a FALL gig But you also feel your WINNING…………..THEY ARE………………………………..
MARTIN X..
P.S. As the latest British Rail multi thousand pound goggle box hype has it……..ENJOY YOUR TRIP,SPEED IN COMFORT……WOW…………………………………….

Meanwhile Mr. and Mrs. Statistic have dozed off in front of the Sony Trinitron, having lostall interest in the tiny point of light in the middle of the screen at which they have been staring for well over threehours.Gradually the couple sink downintothe thick pile Axminster;until they finally disappear from view, leaving only two crumpled piles of C&A modes a set ofnicotine-stained falesteeth…………

(continued from over page- ‘Anderton’) guards for? About a year ago he said all people under 25 (30?) should carry I.D. cards. It seems to me that James Anderton is a public menace. We want saftey on the streets, not organised gangs of blue uniformed thugs throwing members of the local populace into the backs of ford transits. The danger to me is getting coshed, not muggers.

EDITORIAL BIT: This is a’Distractions special issue. With the money from this we hope to make the next one a better production. Litho it or something. We want to make it clear that each article represents only the views of the writer. If you want to write an article send it to us, if we think that it is relevant or of interest we will print it. If we get some money we might pay for articles that we print. We will print intresting letters. The name of this was origionally ‘Northern Fun’ but we didn’t like the initials. We might have a new name next issue. Address- we don’t have one. Any mail sent to:- City Fun, c/o St Johns College Students Union, Lower Hardman St, Manchester 3. will reach us.
Thanks to:- St Johns College Students Union (support their next gig -an unsolicited plug). Community Action(the duplicating). New Manchester Review. The Distractions. Jaqui (the cover photo). You (buying it). Martin X, J.C., Andy Zero, Neil, (writing it). All our friends. End of the editorial bit.
If you want to know more about Manchester Council, Police activity, and other ‘untoward’ goings-on in Manchester I recommend ‘City Enquirer’, and it’s only 5p.
