I knew I had this somewhere and I finally found it.

This, believe it or not, is the news item from the Manchester Evening News that announced the death of Ian Curtis.

This was it, there was no special feature later in the week - not even a picture.

This is a far cry from the kind of coverage the MEN gives to "the city's most famous sons" these days!
