Not sure if these kind of things ever actually work; battle of the bands and the like. Winning usually means the kiss of death. However I’m sure this particular one showcased some early incarnation of some soon to be legends....

“This was one of Tony Wilson's babies and we put this poster together in my studio in Ancoats. He was really enthusiastic about this night to showcase local bands. The poster was crammed with text and he wanted it producing in a matter of days. Good times! (Big thanks to Mark Rhodes and Alex ??)”
