City Life, What’s on at The Apollo. Didn’t realise how many heavy/ rock bands played at the Apollo although I do recall buses often having lots of denim clad ‘n patches brigades aboard. Maybe I thought they were going for a picnic or something....Still love that Crusaders track, “Keep that Same old Feeling”, just right for a lazy, hazy summer’s day, consequently maybe not heard so often.
Level 42, with their slap bassist extraordinaire, Mark King, which set people to talking as to what exactly was that man doing?! It was all brand new at the time.....
Chris De Burgh; missed that one. My loss entirely.

Vague recollections of Vinegar Joe with the not so nonchalant and suave Robert Palmer and Salford's pride and joy, rum 'n raunchy Elkie Brookes on lead vocals.She could certainly belt out a choon.Funny how a lot of these old rockers don some veneer of sophistication in their later years....
