Ludus
1983

From City Life, Feb ’83. Article about Ludus. Don’t know if I ever saw this band. I remember the barmaid who worked at The New Conti for years, telling me her brother was in them; lovely woman she was.....Well that was a newsworthy scoop!
The same writer of this article seems to have been the main contributor to the “Pop” column. Definitely had a touch of the Julie Birchill’s about her, i.e. stick the boot in where a simple cuff would do; must have been the way of the music journalist world then as in Adam Ant and his “Press Darlings”....Aaanyway she big-ups some local band called The Floating Adults and mentions an album by a band called Snatch with sleeve notes written by Jon “cuddles” Savage, as it says here.
