Mentioning the Arndale, just thought I’d throw this one in. The Arndale being constructed mid ’78, pretty much from the top of a building on Market St. Next to Spring Gardens, where the escalators went down into the Underground Market, (close to The Manhatten).. Mentioned before working briefly for a graphic design company and on some of the errands I’d be sent on, I’d snap away with me Berretta 35mm camera (12 quid from Boots the chemist....bargain!). This looks over to Strangeways and the C.I.S. Bit of a bogus upload but kinda reflects how things were progressing in M/c in the late ‘70s.
