A Japanese flyer for the Japanese Doves tour of 2003. I was working for the band at the time, projecting their videos and also filming for the 'Where We're Calling From' DVD.

Japan was everything we expected. There were crowds of adoring fans waiting at the venues, loads of them coming in with gifts for the band (but not the crew!) and all very polite. The gigs themselves were ace... they were all in clubs which were at the top of department stores! So it was first floor homewares, second floor lingerie, third fashion and fourth a club! Often 'Spaceface' would cause a stage invasion. I remember getting the bullet train, going past small mountain villages and the beautiful women in their kimonos. Also guitar tech. Coatsey sticking his arse out of the bus window.

It was a very hot summer and we got to go to Fuji Rock too. The whole adventure was a priviledge!
