30th January 1984

Not really an advert... the club list from City Life Issue 3 (Jan-Feb) 1984.
Later on, the magazine listed clubnights, not actual clubs.
A number of clubs are missing from the list, notably The PSV Club (Caribbean Club, Hulme), The Man Alive (Grosvenor Street), The Reno (Moss Side), The Venue (Whitworth Street).
Gay clubs Archway, Hero's, Naps and High Society were listed elsewhere in the magazine on the Gay Events pages.
In 2011, Playpen is now 42nd Street;
Placemate 7 is now Legends;
Legend is now 5th Avenue;
Swinging Sporran is now Retro Bar.
Adam & Eves, Charlie Browns, The Hacienda, The New Ardri, The Nile Club and Rotters have been demolished.
