I’d seen The Proclaimers as a duo, not so long previously at The Boardwalk and was so taken by their exhuberant and joyous sound that I popped along to see them again. They cheated this time though by having the audacity to use a backing band; still they woz good ‘n that....
Seeing as this was on Guy Faulke’s night, I’d obviously matured enough and moved on from that whole bonfire, collecting/stealing bongy wood scene, man; as well as realising that Santy Claus was just a beat-up, invented by the lackies of the morally bankrupt, capitalist oligarchy, to exploit the Proletariat; at least until the revolution comes comrades. Pookas however are real, and my one Trotsky, says “Hi”.....
