Some of my favourite ever gay nights in Manchester - Disco Opposite Tesco!. Small, sometimes absolutely dead, sometimes hammered. Trashy, queer nights in Rusholme, downstairs in Saki Bar. Power Ballads at 3am when there were about 2 people left. Ste McCabe got on an amp and showed his bum to the audience once, for no reason. Always a great live queer act from across the UK every month. This one saw the return of Valerie, local queer heroes who hadn't played for years. They complained (warmingly) that all of their friends were at a house party and should have been there instead.
