Artefact

Flyer
The Venue (Whitworth Street West)
1984

An earlier time I think, when The Venue became The Wheel (then became The Venue again...?) Uploaded one like this before. The picture on this particular one was used on one of the Soul Jazz compilations a couple of years back. I remember Sword of Jah Mouth playing with a Sound( Armagideon from Huddersfield I think) at one of these and the selector dropped "Walls of Jericho" Freddie McGregor in a rewind,Haul an' Pull-up ,blow a Mr. Hornsman blow, militant style, and the place went bezerk! Wow I'm getting palpitations just thinking about it,even after all these years. Much of that music still moves me to this day.Vibrations in the ether ,and through the bass speaker...it's powerful stuff....
