I thought Ms. Wilde was quite an attractive young lady , in a certain Home Counties kind of a way,. although her music lacked a certain Je ne sais quois...I believe she hosts a gardening programme now so I’m glad she eventually found her true calling. I used to have all these large cardboard cut-outs round me flat, mostly scored from Piccadilly Records. One of her with the obligatory tatts and scars drawn on...my contribution to the art world; an Elvis Costello one for “Armed Forces “ I think. One of a lifesized French chef which, for some reason, amused me, and my piece de resistance, a lifesized cut-out of the Quality Street couple, which took pride of place in my living room. On more than one occasion I woke in the night in a semi-delirious state and they scared the crap out of me. I also had others dotted around the place; large street posters too, mostly ‘cos at that stage of my life I couldn’t afford proper paintings like dogs playing pool, or James Dean and his pals sat around a bar in Heaven. I have since rectified this situation. I particularly liked the poster promoting Mel Brooks doing his Hitler rap and one promoting a Malcolm X sample/rap 12”.They were probably all too big to keep....thankfully.
