The Barbarians were a later incarnation of The Ride Band, just a three piece with myself on lead vox, Loz Green bass and Steve Tansley on drums, both of these guys came straight out of Hucknalls Frantic Elevators to be a baldy barbarian with me, hah, imagine meeting this crew on a dark night in Lyme Park, that's exactly what some poor unsuspecting woman hiker was confronted with as she popped her head over the syle, poor woman screamed at the top of her lungs, it was hilarious, we were just on a photo shoot and were going for some misty late ones, she thought the aliens had landed, we did plenty of gigs around the NW and many good recordings at Revolution and elsewhere, Steve is now with Bill Bailey Band and deps with others, Loz is now a Professor of something or other at the Manc University so I am told, P
