Looks like the Monday nights at The Hac. changed round a bit over time. The Ritz was a bit of an event for a Monday so that's mostly where I would go.When I was sixteen I used to work in the basement of a warehouse on Canal St,right next to The Playboy Club, for the princely sum of 12 pound odd, courtesy of the government's Y.O.P. scheme (youth exploitation at it's best and not a career path I followed). The gay village was really just a few pubs round Chorlton St.,and of course,as I'm sure is thoroughly documented, every few years when I've been back home, I've noticed huge changes..
