The Skids played The Russell a few times,including afternoon shows for the kiddies.They were good.This particular re-incarnation of Mr.Jobson's I'm none too wise about.Hope that's not a case of mixingmebandsup-itis.(actually just remembered seeing Big Country at The Hac;not come across a flyer like that yet.He was a good guitarist that lad....pity...

“this gig was cancelled due to poor adv tickets sales i suspect. they only sold 2. well thats what the bloke at piccadilly records told me when i went to get my refund on them. as a side note, i saw big country twice at the hacienda. previous to this they played as a 2 piece + drum machine at umist /uni which i didnt hear about til afterwards. hope this helps...”
