Big Ed were another Hulme band.For some reason i think he used to hold the odd darts competition in his flat (??).Rockabilly/psychobilly was a bit prevalent at the time and although it wasn't particularly my cup of rosie,I certainly liked the sentiment.Was it Big Jim White,the Elvis Impersonator who used to play at The Bull's Head (?) on Deansgate somewhere.Now that was a good night out!Other flashback;Teddy Boys at The Midland in Withington...they didn't take kindly to young types,(especially taking the piss...fair enough...)The Housemartins bit is the other side of the same flyer.Had to photocopy them onto the same sheet;something to do with the 400 pixels wide issue....
