Ticket
The Ritz
17th October 1989

This is where I get mixed up.On-U sound at The Ritz which was basically Adrian Sherwood and Gary Clail and not the Tackhead gig.If this is the gig I think it is, it was about the loudest gig I ever went went to;my ears were ringing for a couple of days after.I don't remember that many people being there;it might have helped with the bass heavy volume.(The other mega loud gig I remember was The Professionals at The Cavendish).I believe Annie Anxiety from Crass, maybe Mark Stewart from The Pop group, and I think Nena Cherry were on the line-up.Well anyway I remember Nena Cherry coming on,hugely pregnant, with her two dancers in toe,and giving it some welly to "Buffalo Stance";got to respect that!

“think you might have this mixed up with Steve Barker's 'On The Wire' xmas bash at The Ritz on 6th Dec '88

The line-up was A Guy Called Gerald, Tackhead Sound System (featuring Annie Anxiety and a heavily pregnant Neneh Cherry) and 808 State

It was very loud.”
