Strawberry chief engineer David Rohl in the Strawberry Reception in the mid-1970s. David was the mastermind behind the Mandalaband 'supergroup' which, by the time they recorded their second album (Eye of Wendor) at Strawberry, consisted of such names as Justin Hayward, Maddy Prior and various members of 10cc, Sad Cafe and Barclay James Harvest. In the late 1970s, David moved to London before retiring from the music industry to concentrate on his first love, Egyptology (writing several books and presenting a number of television series on the subject). In 2007, David got together a third incarnation of Mandalaband for a new album (mandalaband.co.uk/home/). Photo courtesy of David Rohl
