“Bloody hell - I roadied at this gig! It was in the Union Bar, rather than the usual Maxwell Hall. Dana Gillespie was something to do with David Bowie, I seem to remember. I also remember she wore black stockings and suspenders and was rather expansive in the chest area. I can't remember the music.”
“She also played Salford University on 25th October 1974 (that may have been the gig I roadied at, actually - I saw both gigs). Her band in 1974 included session drummer Simon Phillips and guitarist John Turnbull (who had been in Glencoe and was later in Ian Dury and the Blockheads).”
